Ms. Choyce has been working in the technical theatre for over 20 years. She worked in New York City for Circle Repertory Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, the Roundabout Theatres 1&2, the New York Shakespeare Festival, and The Theatre Machine scene shop. She stage managed for Lily Tomlin's pre-Broadway tryouts for Signs of Intelligent Life. She worked on films such as Of Unknown Origin, Louisiana, Silverado, and Sam Shepard's Fool for Love. Root was Technical Director of Trans/act Theatre where she met Joe, Jaston and Edward, and designed lights for the original Greater Tuna. She has continued to work with them on projects such as The Kansas Open, Last Chance at the Planet Theatre, American Window, Love Arnette, and Tempest Tossed. Root has worked in Austin on the Yule Trail of Lights, Summer Musicals at Zilker Hillside, and she was the Master Electrician at the Bass Concert Hall for many years. She is a member of I.A.T.S.E. local 205 and has her own company, Root's Production Services.
